Maryland Dept of Transportation to Launch "Click It or Ticket" Campaign Next Week
Posted on behalf of Goldberg Finnegan, LLC on May 14, 2014 in Car Accidents
As part of a national program to help educate motorists about the importance of wearing seatbelts while driving, the Maryland Dept. of Transportation State Highway Administration is scheduled to launch its Click It or Ticket campaign statewide on May 22nd.
The primary focus of this years program is to reinforce the importance of wearing seat belts at night, when the chances of being seriously injured or killed in an automotive accident are up to three times higher when compared to daytime driving.
Drivers of pickup trucks and younger drivers will also be targeted by the campaign, in hopes of helping to reduce accident fatalities in these demographics.
At the law offices of Goldberg Finnegan, we are in support of this safety conscious effort and encourage all Maryland motorists to exercise extreme caution when behind the wheel, especially as the summer driving season approaches.
