Man Killed by MARC Train in Beltsville, Service Suspended

A train accident in Beltsville this morning killed a man while he was attempting to cross railroad tracks, according to Prince Georges County police officers.
The police posted to Twitter shortly before 8:00 a.m., stating that the accident occurred in the 11600 block of Baltimore Ave and that they believe the man was trying to cross the tracks when he was struck by the MTA train, which was traveling southbound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Maryland Transit Administration suspended service on the MARC-Camden Line this morning, until further notice." Metro will honor tickets for MARC trains.
