In the wake of numerous recalls recently issued by U.S automaker General Motors, South Korean based manufacturer Hyundai Motor Co. has just filed documents with U.S auto safety regulators about a pending recall that is set to affect more than 140,000 of its Tuscon model SUVs.
Citing airbag issues, its believed that due to an error in the assembly process, the entire airbag assembly may work its way loose from the steering wheel, which could cause a driver to lose control of their vehicle and result in a potentially fatal collision. The recall covers the 2011-2014 model years and is scheduled to be issued to vehicle owners and dealer service departments shortly.
