A three-vehicle collision in a Montgomery County parking lot has injured several and destroyed the façade of a building, police say.

On Wednesday, August 20, an accident in the parking lot of the MetLife building at 2403 Research Boulevard, Rockville sent one vehicle careening into a building, smashing the glass and traveling roughly 25 feet before it came to a stop.

A spokesperson from the Montgomery County Fire Department, Pete Piringer, says the accident took place around 3:30 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles, but possibly three. Piringer noted that all involved sustained only non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities are continuing to investigate, and at the time of the initial report no further details as to the nature of the crash or the condition of the victims have been released.

Auto accidents are just that – accidents. However, driver negligence is one of the biggest contributing factors to crashes in Maryland and across the nation. If you or someone you love was hurt by the reckless behaviors of another motorist, you deserve justice and compensation for what was taken from you.
