A Friday night car collision in Upper Marlboro has left two dead at the scene as police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
At the intersection of Ritchie Marlboro Road and North Riding Road, two vehicles collided at approximately 8:30 p.m. The Prince Georges County Police Department report the crash took place when Aarrayn Perez, 19, of Upper Marlboro, and Barbara Armes, 66, Perez’s passenger, attempted to turn onto Ritchie Marlboro Road from North Riding Road without yielding the right-of-way to oncoming traffic. A Nissan traveling southbound on Ritchie Marlboro Road collided with Perez’s car, killing both Perez and Armes instantly.
The driver of the Nissan was transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police are still investigating this crash.
